ECG announces planned power outage in Greater Accra on July 14


The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise in selected areas of the Greater Accra Region on Monday July 14 2025. This forms part of efforts to improve service delivery to its customers.

‎In a notice issued on Saturday July 12 ECG indicated that the maintenance work will be carried out between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. During this period power supply to the affected areas will be temporarily interrupted.

Communities expected to be affected include Tunga Down, Dunyo Mayera Abedi Pele Satellite, GHS Housing, New Bortianor Red Top, East Legon, Ministry of Energy Residence, Gasemany House, Teshie Camp 2, Tebibianor, Tseaddo Roundabout and nearby areas.

ECG has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause and encouraged residents to take note of the outage and make the necessary arrangements to minimise its impact.

‎The company explained that the exercise is part of its broader commitment to building a more reliable and efficient power distribution network across Ghana.
