Parliament’s Appointments Committee is scheduled to vet the final batch of deputy ministerial nominees today, July 25, 2025.
President John Mahama nominated the candidates in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.
Four Members of Parliament have been nominated for key deputy ministerial roles to support ongoing government efforts across critical sectors.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey, James Gyakye Quayson, Mohammed Adam Sukparu, and Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah are all expected to appear before the Committee.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, referred the nominations to the Appointments Committee for vetting on July 17.
This marks the final round of deputy ministerial vetting under the Mahama administration as appointments near completion.
Once approved, the nominees will support their respective sector ministers to improve governance and ensure efficient public service delivery.
