A book of condolence for the late Highlife legend, Daddy Lumba officially opens today, July 28 at his residence and radio station in Accra.
His manager, Philip Appiah-Kubi, popularly called Roman Fada confirmed the announcement.
The celebrated musician died on Saturday, July 26, at age 60 while receiving treatment at the Bank Hospital in Accra.
Roman Fada revealed that the condolence book would be accessible to the general public at DL 106.9 FM and his residence.
“We all love Daddy Lumba and we are deeply hurt but God knows best,” his manager said during the interview.
Meanwhile, the Creative Arts Agency has announced a national candlelight vigil to honour the late music icon, scheduled for August 2, 2025.
The vigil will take place at Independence Square in Accra from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., attracting fans and dignitaries nationwide.
Similar memorial events will be organised in Germany, the UK, the US and the Netherlands to celebrate the icon’s remarkable musical legacy globally.
The Agency stated that the vigil will serve as a moment of national reflection, uniting Ghanaians through music, culture, and shared memories.
Daddy Lumba, whose songs defined Highlife music for decades, inspired generations of musicians before his passing on July 26, 2025, in Accra.
