The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has signed a major deal with Adesa Productions Limited to boost the Premier League.
Each of the 18 top-flight clubs will receive GH¢1 million before the new season begins in September 2025.
This is the biggest payout in Ghana Premier League history and double what the 2024/25 champions earned.
The launch took place at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra and drew sports, business, and political leaders.
GFA President, Kurt Okraku said the money will help clubs fix issues like unpaid salaries and poor medical care.
Adesa Productions will now handle production, branding, and broadcasting of league games both locally and abroad.
The deal is more than just TV rights, it brings a new way of funding football in Ghana.
A new body, Ghana Premiership Football Company Limited will run the business side of the league.
The money will also improve stadiums with better player areas, health rooms, and tools for live streaming.
The GFA also shared that all clubs will earn prize money based on their position at the end of the season.
Minister for Sports, Kofi Adams praised the deal and called it a shift to private-led football development.
He said President Mahama wants sports to grow through strong public and private partnerships.
