The Bono Regional Council of Elders says NPP has a brighter chance in 2028 with Dr Bawumia leading.
Chairman James Kofi Kyeremeh, known as “Shekinah,” urged delegates to retain Dr Bawumia as the NPP flagbearer.
He said the Council fully supports Dr Bawumia’s bid to lead the party in the 2028 general elections.
”The Election 2028 campaign in the region, and some of us are highly optimistic that Bawumia is the best bet to lead the party to electoral victory,” he said.
In an interview, Kyeremeh praised Dr Bawumia’s wide appeal, experience, and strong media visibility.
He expressed confidence that Bawumia is the best choice to lead the party to victory in the next election.
Kyeremeh made these comments during a meeting with NPP’s Yaw Dabie Appiah Mensah and council members.
Mensah echoed the endorsement, stating Bawumia remains the most visible and marketable among all known aspirants.
He urged delegates to support Bawumia, citing the party’s 41% showing in 2024 as a good foundation.
Mensah also donated money to support the political activities of the Bono Regional Council of Elders.
