Mahama suspends NCSA director-general over misconduct ‎

President Mahama has suspended the Director-General of the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) Divine Selasi Agbeti for two weeks following allegations of misconduct involving a uniformed military officer.

The suspension comes after reports emerged that Agbeti used the military officer as a personal bodyguard during public appearances without proper authorisation. The incident has raised concerns about protocol violations and potential risks to national security.

Sources within the security sector indicate that the development has sparked serious discussions about the misuse of military personnel.

‎A letter dated July 15, 2025 and signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President expressed the presidency’s strong disapproval of Agbeti’s conduct. The letter described his actions as inappropriate and embarrassing to the government.
